Missing Person

We were called this evening to reports of a possible missing person in Conwy. North Wales Police contacted Holyhead Coastguard to report that a person may have jumped from the Bridge in Conwy.

When the pagers went off, one team member was nearby so made his way directly to scene to liaise with the police. When he arrived a taxi driver pulled up and asked if they were looking for someone matching a description of a person he had just dropped off.

The team member quickly ascertained that the description did match the one given and obtained the address from the taxi driver.

More team members turned up on scene and were updated on the situation. We were briefed by the police who then went to the address given to ensure that the person the taxi dropped off was the right person.

We remained on scene until it was confirmed that the person was found safe and well at his home address.

We were then stood down and returned to station.
