Controlled Explosion

At 1505 this afternoon we were tasked by North Wales Police to the beach at West Shore to assist with clearing the beach in readiness for a controlled explosion.

We arrived on scene and were able to clear the beach and assist in establishing a 100 meter exclusion zone.

Shortly after 1545 the Royal Logistics Corps Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team arrived from a property in Deganwy where the ordnance was found and set up their equipment ready for a controlled explosion on the beach.

Shortly after 1620 a controlled explosion took place and the beach was made safe for public use before we returned to station.
